General Information

According to Florida law, a parking permit may be issued to anyone with disabilities that limit or impair the person’s ability to walk or is certified as legally blind.

The Permanent Parking Permit (blue) is issued for up to four years from the date of issuance and expires on the applicant’s birthday. Renewals are for the full four years. An additional permit may be issued if you qualify as a frequent traveler or as a quadriplegic. There is no fee for a permanent parking permit but a Florida driver's license or Florida ID card is required.

The Temporary Parking Permit (red) is issued for a period not exceeding 6 months. The cost is $15.00. If necessary, a second permit may be issued when the first permit expires with another application form completed by the physician. If done within a twelve-month period from the date the first permit was issued, the second permit will be issued for no fee. A Florida driver's license or Florida ID card is also required.

Note: Permits are issued to the person and cannot be used by anyone else.
