bulletThe Florida registration number (commonly called "FL number") issued to a vessel is permanent and remains with the vessel as long as it is operated or stored in Florida, even though the ownership may change.
 
bulletThe FL number is shown on your vessel registration in the box labeled "Plate Number or Florida #.
 
bulletThis registration number must be placed above the water line on both sides of the front (forward half) of the vessel, must be block letters not less than 3 inches in height and spaced as indicated below in a color contrasting to the hull and read left to right. The prefix and suffix must be separated from the numerals by a hyphen or space equal to the width of the digits, i.e., FL 0001 AB.
 
bulletThe expiration decal must be placed on the port (left) side of the vessel immediately before or after the FL number.
